VaCom Technologies Role in Industrial Refrigeration Efficiency

VaCom Technologies works with Southern California Edison to assist large food processing and warehouse facilities with central refrigeration plants.  Since refrigeration systems are sized for the greatest load and peak conditions, they often run inefficiently during the average conditions that occur during most hours of the year.  We generally include whole-facility computerized energy analysis, flexible project development and delivery, and two years of ongoing web-based monitoring using VaCom’s EnergyDashboard™ service.  Accurate analysis, SCE installation incentives, and ongoing performance monitoring provide reliable and sustainable operating cost savings.

Items we look for: 

- Centralized Refrigeration Plant (usually Ammonia but can be other refrigerants)

- -40 to +40 °F control

- Interest in Energy Efficiency and Process Improvements is an ongoing concern

- Installations do not need to be old to need energy efficiency, new systems can be improved

- All refrigeration processes and warehouses
