VaCom’s Multi-Tenant Solution Included In Virtual Innovation Program Education Sessions

La Verne (California), October 13, 2020. This year, the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) will be putting on the first Virtual Innovation Program. Aimed at companies who produce, handle, store, transport or are involved in the distribution of perishable products and  this virtual conference will be a convenient and affordable way for members to have the opportunity to learn, connect, and engage with the community of cold chain professionals and supporters. This conference will be a “can’t miss” opportunity for companies that are looking to optimize supply chain, improve operations, and/or construct a facility. Online sessions will occur on a variety of days, starting on Wednesday, October 13 through Tuesday, November 10.

The conference includes the Virtual Learning Series education sessions, which aim to deliver essential content for individuals at all levels within all segments of the global cold chain. One of these sessions, Innovative Energy Usage Allocation Technology Solutions for Multi-Tenant Cold Storage Warehouses, will cover how advancements in technology have made tracking energy usage in cold storage buildings with multiple tenants, calculating energy usage, and billing much easier. George Botich and Richard Drones of Alliance Refrigeration and Daniel Karcher of Davis Partners will discuss how using VaCom’s multi-tenant refrigeration allocation software has improved their operation. This session will take place on Friday, October 23, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM ET.

Accelerate Magazine Highlights VaCom’s EnergyDashboard Tool

\"\"La Verne (California), March 26, 2020. Accelerate Magazine, a publication from shecco, discussed VaCom Technologies\’ EnergyDashboard tool in their March edition. Shecco is the leader in natural refrigerant news.

The article highlights how VaCom has been using the cloud-based performance monitoring platform since its introduction in 2003 to help food & beverage plants and refrigerated warehouses improve refrigeration system performance and reliability.

Approximately 50 different companies are now using EnergyDashboard to monitor a variety of industrial refrigeration systems, commercial refrigeration racks, HVAC systems, process chillers and heat pumps. The article discusses a particular plant that was able to realize 800,000 kWh of energy savings, which equaled $120,000 in savings and 182 metric tons of CO2e emissions reduction, but utilizing EnergyDashboard to monitor system efficiency degradation and identify opportunities for improvement.

VaCom Presents on Title 24 Proposal for TC CO2 Systems at NASRC Expo

VaCom Technologies, who has been working with the statewide codes and standards enhancement team for California energy code Title 24, was able to present at the 2020 NASRC Low-GWP & Energy Efficiency Expo in Los Angeles, CA. Over the two-day event, the attendees were able to see product exhibits, hear presentations about the latest refrigerant regulations and energy codes, learn about emerging technologies, and more.\"\"

Trevor Bellon presented on VaCom\’s proposal to 2022 Title 24 to develop standardized efficiency requirements for new transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems. He spoke about the motivations for including these types of regulations, the current market for transcritical CO2 systems, and the energy costs and impacts that this code requirements would produce. VaCom Technologies Partners with Customer to Win $1.5 Million from the California Energy Commission to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

La Verne (California), April 25, 2019. VaCom Technologies, the leader in industrial refrigeration controls analysis, systems and monitoring, partnered with a large frozen food factory to win the California Energy Commission’s Food Production Investment Program (FPIP) grant for more than $1.5 million. The grant will result in a projected 94% reduction in Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG).

VaCom developed a turnkey FPIP grant application on behalf of the large frozen food company. Through sizing and modeling multiple refrigeration system design options, VaCom identified the most cost-effective option that would result in the largest amount of GHG emission reduction.

The California Energy Commission awarded 100% of the requested funding to the customer towards completing the project. VaCom Technologies Presenting at IIAR Natural Refrigeration Conference 2019

La Verne (California), January 16, 2019.
